Emma and Will

Emma and Will sat together during their brother's Christmas program last night. As you can see, Emma was being silly!!

Connon's Preschool Christmas Program

As you can see, my guys weren't too sure of Santa, but wanted to talk to him. I went up there w/them so Connon could tell him he wanted a "du-dozer"(aka bulldozer), and so Emma could get a candy cane. There were lots and lots and lots of cookies at the reception as well. They had a great time!

This is Connon and me after he "sang his heart out"...well, not really really, as you will see in the next picture!!!

Well, at least he stayed on the stage this year and didn't cry. He also yelled out "hi mommy and daddy" during the program. So CUTE!!!! All the kids did a great job!! This is always one of our many highlights during Christmas :-).

Emma got to sit with her friend Demi during the program. They are big now and have graduated from preschool. They enjoyed watching their little brother's perform.

My Family

I posted 2 family shots b/c Ed(Kate's husband)is not in the 1st photo. Michael(Jennifer's husband)is not in the 2nd one. We didn't have a photographer, so the husbands had to do the job of photographing our clan :-)

Emma Rockin' Out w/Mom's iPod

I have quite a selection of tunes on my iPod that Em and Connon enjoy listening to, anything from Lincoln Brewster's "Today is the Day", several Casting Crowns albums to the Beatles and of course Christmas Music!! She really enjoys music :-)

Anticipating the arrival of our "Big Jet"

Tom, Emma and Connon awaiting the arrival of "our jet". We flew from Baton Rouge to Atlanta, then Atlanta to Knoxville. We recently ventured down to the deep south, in Natchez, Ms. for a family wedding. Connon enjoyed flying in the rocket ship, as he called it and "blasting off". Emma was so so good for us. She was so helpful during the trip. Tom and I are so very proud of her....way to go Em!!!

Family Time

After all the wedding festivities were over, my family and I stayed an extra day in Natchez, Ms. We did exactly what we love to do...not much:-). We played in the park, watched a barge creep down the Mississippi river, and admired the many beautiful Magnolia Trees in the park. I am reminded of the book of James 1:17 when I am with my family...."every good and every perfect gift is from above". Nothing gives me more joy than being with Tom, Emma and Connon. I LOVE seeing Tom with the kids. He is such an incredible father (and husband too:-).
This photo was one we wanted to capture. Meet Mr. Pouty :-)

Dad and Connon watching the barge very closely, making sure to see its every move.

You can barely see her, but that is Emma sitting on the bench under that huge tree! She looks so very tiny!

Emma and Connon enjoyed running around(well...racing) at the Natchez Visitor center.

Love this shot! This IS Connon! He has his beloved motorcycle in his hand that his cousin Sadie gave him for Christmas.

Photos from the brunch

We all enjoyed seeing Frank and Linda Ward while we were in Natchez. Frank, who Sadie is with in the this photo, was the minister at my hometown church for many many years. He married Tom and me; Kate and Ed; Jennifer and Michael; and Charlie and Bettye Jane. He baptized Kate, Charlie, Emma, Sadie and me as babies as well! So, we've been knowing him a long time! :-)

Tom and me

Tom and Kate

Connon being silly w/Aunt Jennifer

Well, you can sorta tell from this photo that it was quite the challenge to get these two to look at the camera(at the same time)and smile!!

Some of the Roberts/Ewell Clan

Leah, Kate, Rachel, Jennifer and Sarah.
This was made at the rehearsal dinner Friday night. We all enjoyed visiting and getting caught up.

Pop and Connon

Pop and Connon walked together to breakfast Friday morning. Connon also sat with Pop at breakfast. He enjoyed spending time w/pop, however he did get put in time-out for calling pop stupid. He is testing the limits these days, so his dad and I are having to stay on top of things!!!

Playtime w/Cousins

Emma and Connon had a great time playing with cousins Maya, Zoe and Sadie. They also enjoyed playing with(which included climbing on) Uncle Ben!

Trip to Natchez, Ms.

We recently took a trip to Natchez for Sarah's cousin's wedding. These are photos of Emma and Connon at the airport and in the plane. The trip down was a bit rough. Our flight was canceled into Baton Rouge b/c of snow.....go figure :-)

Back to School Party!!

We celebrated going back to school today at our neighbors, The Longees. Emma, Mya, Connon, Will and Hayes had a great time playing together. This is Emma dressed up in one of Mya's princess costumes.

This is the Ladd Landing group :-)

We celebrated with cupcakes. This is the group patiently waiting on us to light the candles. We moms sang "Welcome back to school" to the tune of "Happy Birthday"

Finally, they got to blow out the candles and dig in to the yummy cupcakes!

Connon was the last one to finish up his 2nd cupcake. Think he enjoyed it?? :-)

Connon's First Day of Preschool

Emma isn't the only one who has recently gone back to school. Connon started today. He has moved up to the 3 year old class. His teachers are Mrs. Deepa and Mrs. Elaine. When I picked him up from school, he was using scissors. Now, that is a BIG DEAL for him to be able to do that. He was so very proud of himself. He really enjoys school as well :-)

Sunday Boat Ride on Watts Bar Lake

This is Ralph Deaderick. He is Charles'(Boppa)neighbor. He has been so kind as to take us out on his boat several times. We all went out for a ride on Sunday. The weather was wonderful. We had a great time swimming in the lake. Just so you know, Ralph is 93 years young!!

This is Dad and Ralph.

As you can see from the picture, Emma and Connon had a great time riding in the boat.

This is a shot of Whitestone Bed and Breakfast in Roane Co. It is a beautiful and very peaceful place to visit. I would highly recommend trying it out :-)

All Partied Out :-)

The Haneys celebrated Tom's birthday with us. As you can see from this picture, Hayes was a sleepy little boy. He fell right to sleep on his daddy's lap. I thought this was a sweet picture.

Happy Birthday Tom!!!

We had a birthday party for Tom. Mom and Dad came to celebrate with us. Emma and mom made him an orange "Go Vols" cake.

Gran and Pop with Emma and Connon. Emma said she was too sleepy to look at the camera. When we told her to go on to bed, she suddenly perked up!!

The "Go Vols" cake.

Emma's 1st "phase-in" day of Kindergarten

We arrived at Kingston Elementary about 30 minutes early. Tom wanted to be able to be a part of her first day. We sat in the parking lot together and observed the traffic flow. It was fun :-). Connon, as you can see was being a silly little boy!!

Look at the big girl. She was so excited to be walking into the school with her daddy and brother.

Emma and her teacher, Mrs. Williams. Emma has already learned to raise her hand if she has anything to say. I will often hear her asking Connon to raise his hand before speaking. As you MIGHT imagine, that usually goes over like a bucket of rocks!! Emma did enjoy her first day. She did great and even remembered her 4-digit code she ahs to type in after going through the lunch line. We are so very proud of her!
